Dr. Ravinder Dogra (NET-JRF) took charge of the institute as Nodal Officer in July 2023.

He joined IITTM as an Assistant Professor in 2012 and since then he is working towards the betterment of Tourism. He is actively involved in the teaching, tour guide trainings, national level projects and the short-term programs. For the last two years, he has been assigned with the work of Adventure Tourism through Central Nodal Agency-Adventure Tourism, formed by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and currently he has been assigned with the duties of Nodal Officer, National Institute of Watersports- Goa, India.
Dr. Ravinder did his Master’s in Tourism Management from Jammu University and after clearing UGC-NET-JRF, started doing PhD in Community based tourism and sustainable development of destinations. In 2012, he got selected for the Summer School in IIM-Ahmedabad. Dr. Ravinder is passionate towards the problem-solving research and presented papers related to that in the National as well as in the international conferences. Recently he is working on Research themes like Peer to Peer Accommodation Models and Entrepreneurship in Tourism.
Apart from his academic interests, Dr. Ravinder is having a passion for Photography and Adventure. He did his industrial training in Adventure from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
